Fort Myers is the Lee County seat, about 20 miles by road from our office, and we reach the south side first: San Carlos Park is about eight road miles away, with Gateway, Iona and the McGregor corridor beyond it. The city sits on the Caloosahatchee River and takes its nickname, City of Palms, from the royal palms Thomas Edison had planted along Riverside Avenue, now McGregor Boulevard.
