A damaged section can often be replaced without replacing the whole door, provided the manufacturer still makes the model and the new section belongs to the same product. Clopay says the same: more often than not the damaged panel can be replaced without a new door. A section carries hinges, struts and the track rollers, so a replacement has to match the door's height, thickness, hinge pattern and design.
Florida product approvals describe a complete tested assembly, so before we order a section we identify the manufacturer, model and approval number and confirm with the manufacturer that the section is part of that assembly. If a replacement section would change what the approval covers, or the model is discontinued, we say so and quote a full door instead.

A matching section is located, or you get a straight recommendation if the model is discontinued.
Swap and reinforce
The damaged section comes out, hinges and struts are transferred or renewed, and the new section is aligned in the stack.
Reseal and rebalance
The seal is reset and the door re-balanced for the new weight, then tested for smooth, even travel.
